At 11pm, 7th, September, 2012, a serious earthquake came down on autonomous county governed by Miao minor ethnic group with magnitude 5.7 and hypocenter 14 kilometers, and this county is between zhaotong city in Yunnan province and Bijie region in Guizhou Province. Till 2pm, 8th, September, 2012, this disaster have already caused 183 thousand households and 744 thousand residents suffered from this calamity, 80 persons are dead, 7138 buildings is destroyed completely, especially the direct economic loss is as much as RMB3.704 billion.
RHS has always been concerned to the reconstruction process in this disaster area after this earthquake. During the middle of October, we has been commissioned with design tasks, including reconstruction plans involved in Dazai, Longtan and Maoping settlement. The condition of a disaster is an order, in order to make the new residential houses available to Residents RHS immediately send an interdisciplinary team which included Planning, Architecture, road and municipal engineering to issue a study and investigation out there and extensively collect ideas and thoughts from leaders and local civilians, and then we design team put into this whole project around the clock and in spite of expensive investment and human resources based on detailed study report.
In the concrete design process, we really met some challenges in design task of three settlements, RHS and relevant designers exerted their prominent level and accomplish design tasks in accordance with the requirements and timescale from clients. Nowadays, these three projects entered into the phase of construction drawing design, all our designers and engineers will work diligently to finish task on time to show RHS social responsibility.
